Instructions Bezzerwizzer

Objective of the Game

Bezzerwizzer is a trivia game where the goal is to accumulate as many points as possible by correctly answering questions. The player or team with the most points at the end of the game wins.

Game Components

• Game board
• 20 category tiles
• 4 Bezzerwizzer tokens
• 4 Zwap tokens
• Question cards with different categories
• A scoring token for each player

Setup

1. Each player or team chooses a color and receives the corresponding scoring token as well as one Bezzerwizzer and one Zwap token.
2. The category tiles are placed in the center of the table.
3. Players place their scoring tokens on the starting position of the game board.

Game Flow

1. Each player takes turns drawing four category tiles from the center. These categories determine the themes of the questions they must answer that round.
2. Players arrange their four chosen categories by assigning point values between 1 and 4, based on their perceived difficulty of each question.
3. The player or team whose turn it is draws the corresponding number of question cards to their chosen categories and answers the questions, one after the other.

Bezzerwizzer Tokens

• A player can use their Bezzerwizzer token at any time during another player's turn. This allows them to attempt to answer the current question before the original player does.
• If the Bezzerwizzer player answers correctly, they receive the full point value and the original player receives no points.

Zwap Tokens

• With a Zwap token, a player can swap the point values of one of their categories with another player's before their turn begins, allowing strategic repositioning to benefit their position.

End of Round and Winning the Game

• A round ends when all players have answered their questions. The scores are tallied and players move their scoring tokens accordingly on the game board.
• The game ends when a player or team reaches an agreed number of points. This player or team is the winner.

• Tactical Use of Bezzerwizzer Tokens: Use your Bezzerwizzer token to either score secure points or to deny opponents from collecting valuable points.
• Skillful Zwap Usage: Employ Zwaps strategically to gain an advantage over your opponents, especially if you're stronger in a specific category.
• Category Selection: Choose categories where you're confident in your ability to answer correctly but be mindful of potential interference by other players through Bezzerwizzer and Zwap actions.
