Objective
In The Magic Labyrinth, players must collect magical symbols hidden within an invisible maze. The goal is to gather as many symbols as possible to earn points. The player with the most points wins the game.
Setup
- Assemble the Board: Place the game board on the table. Beneath it, place the secret base that forms the hidden labyrinth.
- Place Wall Pieces: Arrange the wall pieces according to the instructions between the fields inside the board to create the invisible maze.
- Prepare Figures: Each player chooses a playing piece and attaches a magnet underneath the board so that the piece "floats" above.
- Attach the Magnetic Ball: Attach the magnetic ball below the board to the magnet of the playing piece.
- Shuffle the Target Cards: Shuffle the symbol cards and place them face down in a stack.
- Start: Each player places their piece in a corner of the board.
Game Rules
- Draw Target Cards: A player reveals the top card from the symbol stack. This symbol is the current target that players need to reach.
- Perform Moves: Players take turns moving their piece. They may move up to four spaces per turn.
- Labyrinth Obstacles: Invisible walls prevent the pieces from reaching a symbol directly. If a piece hits a wall, the magnetic ball falls off, and the player must return to their starting position.
- Continue Exploring: Once a symbol is reached, the player claims the card, and a new card is revealed.
- End of Game: The game ends after a set number of symbols are collected (depending on desired play length). The player with the most symbols wins.
Strategic Tips
- Memory: As the labyrinth layout changes each game, it's crucial to remember the path of the walls well.
- Risk Management: Sometimes it is strategically better to take a longer path to avoid obstacles.
