Objective of the Game
Einauge sei wachsam is a beginner-friendly strategy game where players make strategic decisions to safely navigate their pirate ships while being overseen by the one-eyed monster. The goal is to collect the most pirate treasures without getting caught.
Setup
- Place the game board in the center of the table and ensure all players can easily access it.
- Each player selects a game piece set, which includes a ship and matching treasure chests.
- The youngest player begins as Einauge and places the monster on the designated central square on the board.
- Shuffle the treasure cards and place them face down next to the board.
- Each player draws three treasure cards to hold.
Game Flow
The game is played in rounds, with each round consisting of several phases:
- Action Phase:
- The player whose turn it is can decide to move their ship up to two spaces. However, they must not land on a space adjacent to Einauge.
-
After moving, the player can play a treasure card from their hand. These cards provide advantages, such as additional moves or collecting coins.
-
Einauge Phase
-
The player controlling Einauge can move the monster one space. The goal is to intercept the ships of opponents and disrupt their course.
-
Treasure Phase
- When a ship lands on a treasure space, the player draws a new treasure card and places a treasure marker of their color there.
Winning Conditions
The game ends when all treasure spaces are cleared or when a player has placed five treasure markers, whichever comes first. The player with the most treasure points wins.
Strategies and Nuances
- Risk Management: Plan your moves carefully to avoid getting too close to Einauge, as you may lose treasures or be positioned unfavorably.
- Bluffing: Misguide other players by concealing your true movement intentions, preventing Einauge from responding effectively.
- Treasure Cards: Maintain a good mix of treasure cards that provide movement or point advantages.
Have fun playing and make sure not to agitate "Einauge"!
