Objective of the Game
Ringgeister is a strategic board game aimed at finding and claiming three magical rings guarded by spirits before anyone else. Each player becomes an adventurer traveling through a mystical forest to gather these rings.
Game Components
- Board: An illustrated board representing a dense forest divided into square spaces.
- Playing Pieces: Each piece represents an adventurer.
- Rings and Spirit Markers: To mark the location of rings and spirits.
- Dice: For determining moves and actions.
Setup
- Board Setup: Place the board in the center of the table.
- Place Spirits: Distribute them randomly across the board.
- Player Start Positions: Each player selects a corner of the board as their starting point.
- Place Rings: Distribute them face-down across the board, keeping their positions unknown to the players.
Gameplay
- Turn Sequence: Players take turns rolling the dice and moving their playing piece the number of spaces indicated, in any direction (vertically or horizontally).
- If a player lands on a spirit space:
- Spirit Confrontation: The player must roll again and exceed the current spirit strength to defeat the spirit.
- Upon victory, the player receives a clue about a nearby ring’s position.
- Finding Rings: If a player lands on a ring space, they can claim the ring.
- Winning the Game: The game ends when a player finds and claims all three rings.
Strategic Tips
- Direction: Carefully consider which direction to move your token to explore fields efficiently.
- Avoiding Spirits: Sometimes, it is wise to steer clear of fields with many spirits to save time.
- Teamwork: In games with multiple players, sharing information about spirits and rings can be beneficial.

- Unpredictability: With random ring and spirit placement, each game offers a unique challenge.
