Objective of the Game
Temple Hopping is an exciting race and strategy game where players aim to be the first to reach the mythical temple at the end of the board by skillfully placing and hopping their figures. The game is suitable for players of all ages, promoting both tactical thinking and luck.
Game Components
- A game board with a path leading to the temple
- Various colored pawns (one per player)
- A six-sided die
Setup
- Each player chooses a pawn of their color.
- Place the pawns on the starting space.
- Determine the starting player by having each player roll the die once; the player with the highest roll goes first.
Gameplay
The game is played clockwise.
Turn Phase
- Roll the Die: The player on their turn rolls the die.
- Move: The player moves their pawn forward along the path by the number rolled on the die.
- Field Interactions:
- Normal Spaces: Nothing special happens.
- Action Spaces: Some spaces contain symbols that trigger special actions, such as:
- +2: The player may advance two additional spaces.
- Retreat: The player must move back two spaces.
- Swap: The player may swap positions with another player.
Special Rules
- Occupied Spaces: If a player lands on a space already occupied by another player, they must move to the next free space.
- Temple Spaces: Near the goal, there are challenging spaces requiring special actions to pass.
Victory Conditions
The first player to reach the goal space in the temple exactly wins the game.
Strategic Tips
- Plan your moves ahead, especially when you can swap positions with other players.
- Use action spaces to your advantage to improve your position or hinder opponents'.
