Counting Solitaire - Card Game (French Deck)

Luck-based Game

group 1 Deutsch

Objective of the Game

The aim of Counting Solitaire is to effectively count and place cards according to specific rules such that all cards are successfully laid out without any remaining at the end.

Game Materials

  • A standard deck of 52 playing cards.

Game Setup

  1. Shuffle the deck thoroughly.
  2. Place the shuffled deck face down in front of you.

How to Play

  1. Start and Count:
  2. Take the card stack face-down in your hand.
  3. Start flipping the cards one by one while counting out loud from 1 to 10.
  4. The first card flipped is assigned value 1, the next card value 2, and so on up to value 10.
  5. If counting reaches 10, restart counting from 1.

  6. Laying a Card:

  7. If a flipped card matches the current count (the spoken number), set it aside (remove it from play).
  8. If the card value and count don't match, place the card at the end of the stack and continue with the next card.

  9. Winning or Losing:

  10. The game is won when you have successfully set aside all cards.
  11. The game is lost if you run out of cards to flip or if you've gone through the deck with cards remaining that can't be set aside.

Strategies and Tips

  • Patience and Observation: Given the game is purely about chance, there are no effective strategies to influence the outcome. Patience is your best ally.
  • Repeated Attempts: It often requires several attempts to successfully complete the game, as the counting and card value need to randomly match.

Conclusion

Counting Solitaire is a simple yet challenging solo game. It does not require special strategies but tests the player's patience while hoping luck will favor them.
