Heimlich & Co.
Objective
Heimlich & Co. is an exciting detective game where players assume hidden identities and score points by collecting secret documents on the board. The goal is to gather the most points without revealing your identity to win the game.
Game Components
- 1 game board with a circular score track
- 42 secret document cards in seven different colors
- 1 die
- Suspect figures in seven colors
- Secret identity cards
- Scoring markers (color-matched to the figures)
Setup
Each player draws a secret identity card. This card determines the color of the figure the player represents. The identity remains hidden until the game ends. Place the scoring markers on the starting position on the score track.
Gameplay
The game is played clockwise. The player whose turn it is carries out the following steps:
-
Roll the Die: The player rolls the die and moves any suspect figure on the board according to the number rolled.
-
Collect Documents: If the figure lands on a specific point square, points in the color of that square are awarded.
-
Conceal Identity: By skillfully moving other figures, the player tries not to reveal their own identity while still collecting points.
-
End of Turn: The next player takes their turn.
Special Features
-
Hidden Identity: Skillfully manipulating other figures increases the chance of remaining undetected, which is crucial, as revealing your own color allows other players to develop strategies against you.
-
Correct Assessment: It's often about guessing who controls which figure and simultaneously preventing one's identity from being discovered.
End of Game and Winning
The game ends when a scoring marker reaches 42 on the score track. All players then reveal their identity cards, and the one with the most points wins.
Strategy Tip
Since the game relies heavily on bluffing and perception, it's advisable to consider that other players' behaviors might be misleading. Try to keep your own strategy flexible and adaptive to the game's progression.
