Objective of the Game
The goal of Schaska is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards. It's a fun and fast-paced card game that requires both strategy and luck.
Game Materials
- A standard deck of 52 playing cards, without jokers.
- At least 3 players.
Setup
- Shuffle the deck thoroughly.
- Each player is dealt seven cards.
- The remaining cards form a draw pile in the center of the table.
- One card is drawn from the draw pile to start the discard pile.
Gameplay
- Start: The player to the left of the dealer begins the game.

Turns: On their turn, a player must play a card that matches either the suit or the rank of the top card on the discard pile. If they cannot play a matching card, they must draw one card from the draw pile.

Playing Matching Cards: A player can always play a card of the same rank or suit. For example, if the top card on the discard pile is a red 7, another red card or another 7 may be played.

Special Cards:
- Aces: When an Ace is played, the player may sacrifice a card, skip a turn, or swap hands with another player.
- Kings: A King forces the next player to pick up two cards unless they can counteract with another King, moving the burden to the following player.
- Eights: An 8 can be played on top of any card, and the player chooses the new suit to follow.
- Skipping and Jumping: Certain cards can be used to skip upcoming turns, which can have devastating effects on playing strategies.
End of the Game
The game ends when one player has no more cards in their hand. This player wins the game.
Strategic Tips
- Hold Special Cards: Ensure you always have some special cards at your disposal to safeguard against tough situations or to disrupt other players.
- Watch Other Players: Try to keep an eye on which suits are problematic for other players to force them to draw cards.
- Changing Suits: Use the Eights effectively to choose a suit that the majority of your opponents find challenging.
