SOS Dino: Rules and Strategies
Objective of the Game:
"SOS Dino" is a cooperative board game where players work together to save four adorable dinosaur figures from approaching lava flows, meteorite impacts, and a volcanic eruption. The main goal is to bring the dinosaurs to safety and save as many dinosaur eggs as possible.
Game Components:
- Game board with a volcano area
- 4 Dinosaur figures (Jecko, Rex, Rarn, and Lea)
- 4 Volcano cones
- Lava tiles
- Meteorite tiles
- Event tokens with bags
Game Setup: 1. Place the 4 dinosaur figures on their starting tiles. 2. Place their corresponding dinosaur eggs on the board for each type (Jecko, Rex, Rarn, Lea). 3. Position the volcanoes at their designated places. 4. Shuffle the event tokens and place them face-down in the bag. 5. Each round, a player draws a token from the bag and executes the depicted action.
Gameplay: 1. Drawing an Event Token: - Each turn, the active player draws an event token from the bag and performs the action shown. - Volcano Tokens: Add a lava tile to the corresponding volcano and extend the flow in the indicated direction. - Meteorite Tokens: Place a meteorite tile on the marked field. If a dinosaur is hit, the game becomes more challenging as dinosaur eggs are lost.
- Moving the Dinosaurs:
- Each player may move the dinosaurs one tile in any direction, as long as the target tile is not already an obstacle (lava or meteorite).

Saving the Dinosaurs:
- When a dinosaur reaches a rescue tile, it is safe and can no longer be hit by lava or meteors.
End of the Game: The game ends when either all dinosaurs have been saved, or drawing event tokens is no longer possible. The players then count the saved eggs and dinosaurs and compare their score to previous games or try to improve their personal best.
