Objective of the Game
The objective of The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring – The Card Game is to collaborate and relive the adventures of the Fellowship, overcoming Sauron's evil forces. Players take on roles of iconic characters like Frodo, Aragorn, or Gandalf and must successfully complete quests.
Game Components
- Adventure Decks: Each game is played with a specific scenario or adventure.
- Player Cards: Consist of hero and ally cards.
- Damage Tokens: Used to indicate the damage suffered by your characters in the game.
- Threat Tracker: Used to track the threat level of each player.
- Resource Tokens: Indicate the resources available to players.
Setup
- Select a Scenario: Each scenario presents a new challenge and determines the setup of the adventure deck.
- Prepare Player Decks: Each player has their own deck composed of heroes and allies.
- Threat and Resources: Each player sets their threat token to the starting level (variable depending on the scenario) and receives starting resources.
- Starting Heroes: Select hero cards from your deck to aid you in the game.
Gameplay
The game proceeds in several phases which repeat each round:

Winning and Losing

- Lose: Occurs when a player's threat level reaches 50 or all of a player's heroes are defeated.
