Space Master: Game Instructions

Objective

The objective of Space Master is to be the first player to colonize the maximum number of planets and collect control points. Players compete against each other to gather resources, develop technologies, and form strategic alliances.

Game Components

• 1 game board with a galaxy layout
• 5 different spaceship miniatures per player
• Resource tokens (energy, minerals, food)
• Technology cards
• Event cards
• Planet and control point markers
• Dice (standard and special dice)

Setup

1. Each player chooses a color and receives the corresponding spaceship miniatures.
2. Place the resource tokens and technology cards next to the game board.
3. Shuffle the event cards and place them face down.
4. Each player places one of their spaceships on the starting field of their area.
5. Determine the starting player by a round of dice.

Gameplay

The game is played in rounds. Each round consists of the following phases:

1. Resource Phase

• Collect Energy: Each player gains energy based on the planets they control.
• Resource Extraction: Players can take resources from inhabited planets.

2. Action Phase

Each player may perform up to two of the following actions on their turn:

• Move: Move a spaceship to an adjacent field.
• Colonize: Place a control point marker on an unoccupied planet if you pay the required resources.
• Research Technology: Pay resources to receive a technology card.
• Attack: Attack another player's spaceship or a space station.

3. Research Phase

• Players can develop new technologies by spending resources and having the necessary number of research points.

4. Event Phase

• Draw an event card and apply its effect. These cards can have both positive and negative effects and can dramatically influence the course of the game.

Winning Conditions

The game ends when a player colonizes 10 planets or control points. Alternatively, the game ends when all event cards are used. The player with the most colonies and control points is declared the winner.

• Planet Prioritization: Wisely decide which planets to colonize based on the resources they offer.
• Technology: Invest in technologies that support your play style to gain advantages in battles and resource gathering.
• Alliances: Strategically use alliances with other players to achieve common goals, but beware of betrayal.
