Objective of the Game
The goal in Barbarossa and the Riddlemasters is to rack up points by solving puzzles, aiming to have the highest score by the end of the game.
Components
- Game board featuring a progression track and a scoreboard.
- Modeling clay for sculpting figures.
- Guess and clue tokens
- Cards with letter spaces
- Playing pieces in each player's color
Gameplay
Setup
- Each player gets modeling clay to secretly mold two figures. The figures should represent words but not be overtly obvious representations.
- Once shaped, the figures are placed in the center of the game board.
- Play pieces are placed on the starting space of the score track.
Rounds of Play
The game consists of several rounds, each divided into different phases:
Riddle Phase
- Players attempt to guess the figures made by other players.
- During their turn, a player can ask up to two questions that can be answered with "yes" or "no."
- Alternatively, players can attempt a direct guess.
Scoring for Correct Guesses
- Players earn points with each correct guessing attempt and advance their token on the score track accordingly.
Expansion Phase (Optional)
- After a set number of failed attempts, the creator of the figure may add a new detail.
Wisdom Dice
- Once three guess markers have been accumulated, a player can use a Wisdom die to open new clue possibilities.
Scoring
- Correctly guessing a figure earns points.
- Fewer clues used mean more points earned.
- Success in using guess markers is rewarded.
- The player with the highest score at the end wins the game.
