Objective of the Game
The objective of "Guess Who?" is to be the first player to guess the opponent's mystery character.
Game Components
- Two game boards, each featuring 24 different characters
- A deck of 24 cards, each representing one of the characters
Setup
- Each player takes a game board.
- Shuffle the cards, and stand all characters upright on the game board.
- Each player randomly selects one card from the deck without showing it to the opponent. This card represents the player's secret character.
Gameplay
- Player A starts by asking a yes/no question to narrow down the opponent's mystery character.
- Example: "Is your character wearing glasses?"
- Player B responds with "yes" or "no".
- Based on the answer, Player A flips down any characters that do not match the given information.
- It is now Player B's turn to ask a similar yes/no question.
- Players alternate turns until one player is ready to guess the opponent’s mystery character.
Winning the Game
- A player can stop the game at any time to guess the opponent's mystery character.
- A correct guess wins the game immediately.
- An incorrect guess results in an instant loss, and the other player wins.
Strategic Tips
- Ask Smart Questions: The goal is to narrow down the possible characters as quickly as possible. Questions with about a 50/50 chance are often most effective.
- Prioritize Features: Start with general features like gender or hair color before moving to specific features like glasses or hats.
- Listen Carefully: Pay close attention to the opponent’s questions for clues about the features of their secret character.
Special Rules
- If the deck of drawn character cards is unevenly distributed or players frequently use the same set of questions to win the game faster, try alternating gaming sessions to introduce more variety.
