Objective of "Take it or Leave it"
The objective of "Take it or Leave it" is to accumulate the most points by the end of the game by strategically collecting dice combinations while balancing risk and reward.
Game Components
- A set of 6 dice.
- A score sheet or a piece of paper to record scores.
- A pen.
Setup
- Determine who goes first. Have all players roll one die, and the player with the highest number starts.
- Provide each player with paper and a pen to keep track of their scores.
Gameplay
The game is played in rounds. Each player takes turns trying to accumulate points in each round: 1. The active player rolls all 6 dice. 2. After each roll, the player may choose to set aside some or all dice and re-roll the remainder. 3. Dice that are set aside are secured and count towards the final score of that round. 4. The player may roll up to three times total (including the initial roll). 5. After the third and final roll, the score is calculated and added to the score sheet.
Scoring
- Scores are based on the final combination of secured dice.
- Typical combinations and their values might include:
- A single 1 scores 100 points.
- A single 5 scores 50 points.
- Three of a kind of the same die score the die's face value times 100 (e.g., three 2’s = 200 points).
Special Rules
- Risk and Reward: Players may end their turn early after any roll to bank their score.
- If a player has no scoring dice after the third roll, they score 0 for that round.
Winning the Game
- The game ends when a player reaches a predetermined target score (e.g. 3000 points).
- The player with the highest score wins.
Strategic Tips
- Risk Awareness: Players must decide when to take safe points and when to press their luck for higher scores.
- Opponent Observation: Watch your opponents to decide when to take risks or play defensively.
"Take it or Leave it" is a thrilling dice game combining strategy, risk assessment, and a touch of luck!
