Objective of the Game
In Pingvinas (also known as "Hey, That's My Fish!"), the goal is to collect as many fish as possible. Players control teams of penguins that move across a hexagonal tile board, gathering fish along the way.
Game Components
- A board made up of hexagonal tiles
- Tiles with 1, 2, or 3 fish on them
- Penguin figures
Setup
- Each tile is randomly placed fish-side up on the table to form the game board. The size of the board is adjusted based on the number of players.
- Each player receives a certain number of penguins: 4 penguins for two players, 3 penguins for three players, and 2 penguins for four players.
- Players take turns placing their penguins on any tile that shows one fish.
Game Play
- Players take turns moving one of their penguins.
- Each move involves sliding a penguin in a straight line across the board, without jumping over other penguins or empty spaces.
- The player removes the tile from the starting point where the penguin began, collecting the depicted fish.
- The penguin must end its move on an adjacent tile at the end of each move.
End of the Game
The game continues until no player can make a legal move. A penguin cannot make a move if all adjacent tiles have been removed.
Scoring
At the end, players count the number of fish symbols on their collected tiles. The player with the most fish wins.
Tips and Strategy
- Move your penguins strategically to capture the most tiles.
- Block your opponents by restricting their movement paths.
- Plan ahead to avoid getting stuck and to keep your options open.
Pingvinas is easy to learn, yet offers deep tactical challenges, requiring quick decisions and skillful planning.
