Teufelsdreieck
Objective of the Game
The objective of the game Teufelsdreieck is to achieve the highest score possible by skillfully combining dice rolls or by fulfilling set tasks.
Setup
- Players: 2-6
- Materials:
- Three dice
- Score sheets and a pen
Sit together in a circle and have the necessary materials ready. Each player receives a score sheet. Choose a starting player.
Gameplay
Basic Rules:
- Round Start: The starting player begins by rolling all three dice.
- Combining: The player has different options to combine the dice to optimize their points. The following combinations are possible:
- A “three of a kind”: All three dice show the same number (e.g., 4-4-4).
- A “straight”: Three consecutive numbers (e.g., 2-3-4).
- Single numbers count as points.
- Scoring:
- Each three of a kind is worth 10 points.
- Each straight is worth 5 points.
- Single numbers are added.
- Voluntary Rolling: The player can choose to roll again to improve their result. Warning: If no combinations are achieved when rolling voluntarily, all gathered points in that round are lost.
- End of the Round: Once the player is satisfied with their result or does not want to take further risks, the points are recorded.
- Next Player: The player to the left of the current player goes next.
Special Rules:
- Teufelsdreieck: If a specific, difficult combination is achieved (e.g., 1-2-3), it can count as a "Teufelsdreieck," which has special effects, such as stealing points from other players.
End of the Game
The game ends after a predetermined number of rounds (typically 10) or once a player reaches a certain score (e.g., 50 points). The player with the highest score wins.
Strategy and Tips:
- Risk vs. Reward: Consider carefully when to take risks and roll again.
- Track the Points: Keep track of scores and watch how close other players are to the game goal.
- Teufelsdreieck: Use the Teufelsdreieck wisely as it can give you an advantage, especially in the late stages of the game.
Good luck and have fun playing!
