Eleven out

Objective

The objective of Eleven out is to get rid of all your cards by playing them onto the game stack. The winner is the player who plays all of their cards first.

Game Components

• A special deck of 80 cards, numbered from 1 to 20 in four different colors (red, yellow, blue, green).

Number of players

• Minimum number of players: 2
• Maximum number of players: 6

Setup

1. Shuffle the cards thoroughly.
2. Deal an equal number of cards to each player (generally 20 cards for 2-3 players, 15 cards for 4-6 players).
3. Place the remaining cards face down as a draw pile in the center.
4. Draw the starting card (begin with the red Eleven placed face-up in the middle) to start the game.

Gameplay

1. Starting the game: The player to the left of the dealer begins.
2. Placing cards: Players can either place cards on the play stack or pass.
3. Placing a card is possible if the player has a card that fits next to the already played cards. For example, on the red 11, a red 10 or 12 can be placed. If these are new Elevens in other colors, they can be placed at any position in their color sequences.
4. Passing: If a player can't place a card, they must pass.
5. End of turn: Once a player plays a card, the next player to the left takes their turn.
6. End of the game: The game ends when a player has no more cards in their hand. This player is the winner.

Strategic Tips

• Observe your opponents: Try to understand the strategies and cards of your opponents to plan ahead.
• Utilizing Elevens: Use free Eleven cards to introduce new colors into play and expand your options.

Additional Rules

• Card colors: You must always play within the given color row, centered on the 11 as a starting point.
• Absolute stop: If a player cannot place any card from their hand, they can be "absolutely stopped." Then each player draws a card, and the round pass-giver opens a new round.
