Objective of the Game
The objective of Elfer raus! is to be the first player to play all the cards from your hand. The player who succeeds in doing so wins the game.
Game Components
- 80 cards, numbered from 1 to 20 in four different colors.
Setup
- Shuffle: Thoroughly shuffle the deck of cards.
- Deal: Each player receives an equal number of cards. If there are leftover cards due to an uneven deal, set them aside.
How to Play
- Starting the Game: The player who holds the "11" of any color begins the game by placing it in the middle of the table. The game starts by placing an "11” of each color first.
- Placing Cards: Players take turns to add a card to one of the rows in the center. A card must be of the same color and either the next higher or next lower number.
- No Play Possible: If a player cannot play a card, they simply pass their turn to the next player.
Special Rules
- Multiple Cards: If a player has multiple cards in a color sequence (ascending or descending), they can play them all in one turn.
Strategic Tips
- Card Memory: Remembering which cards have already been played can help predict the cards opponents still hold.
- Avoid Blocking: Try to avoid holding onto cards that could block other leading players unnecessarily.
End of the Game
The game ends when a player plays all of their cards. That player wins the game of Elfer raus!.
