Objective of the Game

The Game is a cooperative card game where players work together to place all the cards in the correct order. The objective is to play as many cards from the deck as possible before running out of moves. The game is won if all cards from the deck are successfully played.

Game Components

• 98 cards, numbered from 2 to 99
• 4 discard piles

Setup

1. Setup the discard piles: Place two piles for ascending order (starting at 1) and two piles for descending order (starting at 100) on the table.
2. Shuffle the cards: Thoroughly shuffle all 98 cards.
3. Deal cards: Players receive the following number of cards: 10 cards each for 2 to 3 players, and 9 cards for 4 to 5 players.

Gameplay

Players take turns in a cooperative manner to play cards onto the four discard piles in the correct order.

2. A player must play at least two cards (with 2 to 3 players) or at least one card (with 4 to 5 players) in their turn. The aim is to place cards onto the piles in ascending or descending order.
3. On an ascending pile, the card must be equal to or higher than the top card of the pile. On a descending pile, the card must be equal to or lower.

4. To help manage piles, players can make a reverse move by placing a card exactly ten numbers away in the opposite direction (a backward step).

5. Draw cards: After playing, players draw the same number of cards from the draw pile as they have played.

Communication

Players may discuss possible moves and cards, but are discouraged from revealing precise card values.

End of the Game

The game finishes when no more cards can be drawn from the deck and no more valid plays can be made.

• Victory: If all cards have been successfully played.
• Defeat: If no valid plays can be made before all cards have been played.

Strategy Tips

• Cooperation is key. Aim to coordinate your turns such that reverse moves (jumps to lower cards) offer the most advantages.
• Assess your cards wisely to keep the piles flexible and avoid roadblocks.
• Plan ahead. Try to keep piles as open as possible to allow others to make a move.
