Objective
European Seven Eleven is a simple, fast-paced dice game that is mainly luck-based. The objective is to reach a predetermined score while avoiding rolling the forbidden numbers.
Number of Players
The game can be played with 2 or more players.
Materials
- Two 6-sided dice
- A sheet of paper or a notepad for scoring
- A pen or pencil
Setup
- Decide who will be the starting player.
- Set a target score or the number of rounds to be played, e.g., 100 points.
Game Play
- The starting player rolls the dice.
- Scoring:
- The sum of the two dice is added to the player's round score.
- If the roll is a 7 or 11, the player's turn ends immediately, and they score zero points for that round.
- As long as the player does not roll a 7 or 11, they can choose to roll again to try and increase their score or end their turn to add their accumulated round score to their total.
- If a player rolls a 7 or 11, they lose all points for that round, and the turn goes to the next player.
- The game proceeds clockwise.
- Special Case: A player can choose to end their turn voluntarily before rolling a 7 or 11 to lock in their round score.
End of the Game
- The first player to reach the predetermined score or the player with the highest score after the agreed-upon number of rounds wins.
Strategic Tips
- Roll more often if you are far behind other players to catch up quickly.
- Weigh the risk and reward, especially as you get closer to the target score.
