Instructions Müller & Sohn

Objective of the Game

In Müller & Sohn, players take on the roles of heirs to a milling empire. The aim is to be the first to produce all necessary resources and maximize profits. The player who collects the most points through strategic decisions and effective management will win the game.

Game Components

• Game Board featuring mill graphics and resource fields
• Player Tokens for each participant
• Resource Cards (wheat, flour, water, etc.)
• Action Cards with special abilities or events
• Dice to determine movement
• Score Trackers to count profits

Setup

1. Each player selects a token and places it on the start position of the game board.
2. Shuffle the resource cards and place them face down next to the board.
3. Give each player three random resource cards.
4. Shuffle the action cards and position them face down, ready to draw.
5. Provide each player an overview card of the various milling processes.

Gameplay

The game consists of multiple rounds in which players take turns. Each round comprises the following phases:

1. Gather Resources:
   • The player rolls the dice and moves their token accordingly on the board.
   • According to the position on the field, the player draws a resource card.

2. Operate Mills:

   •  

     Resources can now be transformed into end products like flour in the mill.
   • Each transformation requires a specific combination of resources.

3. Trading:
   Players can trade resource cards amongst themselves or buy/sell resources with the bank at a set rate.

4. Action Phase:
   Draw an action card. This card can be used immediately or strategically held for later turns.

Special Features

• Special Fields on the Board: Unique fields that require immediate action or event when landed upon, such as "Storm destroys wheat field."
• Action Cards offer surprises or advantages. Some allow influence over dice results or grant extra resources.

End of the Game

The game concludes when a player reaches a pre-set number of points, typically through the manufacture of certain products or sales. Alternatively, the game ends when the resource deck is exhausted and no more cards can be drawn.
