Max Mäuseschreck is a cooperative board game designed especially for younger players. The main objective is to guide the little mice safely through the forest without being caught by the cat, Max.

- 3 small, colorful mouse figures
- A larger Max the cat figure
- 1 color die
- 1 die with cat symbols
- 3 different nut tokens
Gameplay
-
Setup: Place the game board in the center and position the mice at the starting point. Max the cat is placed at the beginning of his path.
-
Player Order: Players decide on an order and take turns in a clockwise direction.
-
Turns: Each player takes turns rolling the color die:
- Color Die: Players move the mice on the board to the nearest space that matches the rolled color. The goal is to guide the mice to the end of their path.
-
Cat Die: Instead of moving with the color die, players may roll the cat die, which brings Max the cat closer to the mice.
-
Special Actions:
- If a mouse lands on a nut space, it can pick up that nut. Nuts can be used to protect a mouse if Max gets too close.
-
Collaborative decision-making is key: Players must discuss and decide together how best to keep the mice safe.
-
End of the Game:
- The game ends when either all the mice have safely reached the end or if Max catches a mouse.
Strategic Tips
- Teamwork: Players must collaborate and think strategically to save all the mice. Communication is essential.
- Resource Management: Using collected nuts strategically can be crucial, especially when Max gets close.
This game is very accessible for children, promotes cooperative play, and is a great way to teach strategic thinking in a fun way.
