Objective of the Game

Setup

  1. Set up the board according to the chosen scenario.
  2. Each player selects a species and receives the corresponding markers and cards.
  3. Place the scoring track and all animal markers within reach.
  4. Players place their animal markers in a starting territory of their choice.

Gameplay

The game is played over several rounds. Each round includes the following phases:

  1. Draw Phase: Each player draws a card from their personal deck.
  2. Action Phase: During their turn, players can take one action, such as conquering a territory, playing a card, or using a species-specific ability.
  3. Scoring Phase: At the end of each round, players check the game conditions and calculate their points.

Actions in the Game

  • Conquer Territory: Players can capture adjacent free territories by placing a marker. It's crucial to consider the landscape advantages or limitations for your species.
  • Play Card: Cards can trigger beneficial events or block certain actions.
  • Use Special Abilities: Each species has unique abilities that strategically provide advantages.

End of the Game

The game ends when a predetermined number of rounds have been played or when no new territories can be conquered. Points are totaled, and the player with the highest score wins.
