Objective:

The objective of "Steinscheißer Karl" is to be the first player to collect a predetermined number of stones. Players must strategically gather, trade, and place stones to increase their collection faster than their opponents.

Game Components: 

  • Game Board: Consisting of a grid of spaces where stones can be collected.
  • Stones: In different colors, each color has a specific point value.
  • Figures: A playing piece for each player that moves around the board.
  • Dice: For moving the figures.

Setup:

  1. Each player chooses a figure and places it on the starting space.
  2. The stones are shuffled and distributed evenly on the designated spaces on the game board.
  3. The oldest player starts, and then play proceeds clockwise.

Gameplay:

  1. Rolling the Dice: The player rolls the dice and moves their figure according to the number rolled.
  2. Collecting Stones: If the figure lands on a space with a stone, the player takes it and adds it to their collection.
  3. Special Spaces: Some spaces have special actions, such as taking an extra turn or trading stones with another player.
  4. Trading: A player can trade one of their stones with another player when landing on a specific space.
  5. Winning the Game: As soon as a player collects the required number of stones, the game ends immediately, and that player wins.

Strategic Tips:

  • Plan ahead to determine which spaces on the board are most beneficial to your strategy.
  • Use special spaces wisely to disrupt your opponents' collection or to quickly complete yours.
  • Pay attention to which stones your opponents are collecting, as this may give insight into their strategy.

Variations:

The game can be varied by adding more special spaces to increase complexity and strategic depth.
