Objective of the Game
„Auf Achse“ is a board game that puts players in the role of logistics company managers transporting goods across Europe. The objective is to earn the most money by cleverly transporting goods. The player with the highest capital at the end of the game wins.
Game Setup
- Set up the board: Place the board in the center of the table and place the freight cards in their designated area.
- Choose your piece: Each player selects a color and takes the corresponding truck as a game piece.
- Distribute starting money: Each player receives a starting currency of 10,000 units.
- Position cards: Shuffle the freight cards and place three face-up on the board.
- Prepare dice: The game uses two dice.
Game Flow
- Round progression: Each player rolls the dice in turn and moves their truck accordingly. Each round has the following phases:
- Roll the dice: The player rolls and moves their piece along the road network on the board according to the result.
- Accept orders: If the player is in a city with an available freight card, they can take it by moving it into their hand.
- Transport: The aim is to transport the goods specified on the cards from the supply to the demand card.
- Reach destination: The player must drive to the city indicated to deliver the cargo and earn the specified payout.
Special Features
- Tolls: Some sections of the route require tolls, marked clearly on the board, which must be paid when the player crosses them.
- Special cards: Events like roadworks or bad weather can affect transport, written on the freight cards and must be considered.
- Strategy: Decide between taking long, lucrative jobs or shorter, less profitable routes.
End of the Game
The game ends when a pre-set time limit expires or all freight cards have been completed. The player with the most money wins.
