Objective
Easy Poker is a simplified version of Poker, where the objective is to create the highest card combination using hand cards and community cards to win the pot.
Setup
- Deck: Use a standard 52-card deck without jokers.
- Players: The game can be played with 2 to 6 players.
- Start: Shuffle the deck and deal two face-down cards to each player. Place five cards face-down in the center.
Game Play
- Round 1 - Bet: Each player looks at their cards and decides whether to play by placing a small bet (e.g., one chip).
- Flop: Turn over three of the five community cards. Players can look to see what combinations they might form with their hand cards.
- Round 2 - Bet: Based on the cards seen so far, players choose to bet again, call, or fold. Players can raise their bet, match, or fold.
- Turn: Another community card is revealed.
- Round 3 - Bet: Players have another chance to change their bets.
- River: The final fifth community card is revealed.
- Final Betting Round: There is a final round of betting where players can place bets, match bets, or fold.
Card Combinations Ranking
- High Card: The highest card in play.
- Pair: Two cards of the same rank.
- Two Pair: Two different pairs.
- Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same rank.
- Straight: Five consecutive cards but not of the same suit.
- Flush: Five cards of the same suit, not in sequence.
- Full House: A three of a kind and a pair.
- Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same rank.
- Straight Flush: Five consecutive cards of the same suit.
- Royal Flush: The 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace of the same suit.
Game End
After the last betting round, players reveal their cards. The player with the highest-ranking combination wins the pot. In the case of a tie, the pot is split.
Strategic Considerations
- Bluffing: Sometimes it can be beneficial to pretend that your hand is better than it is.
- Position: Players acting later in the round have the advantage of seeing what others do, which can be strategically useful.
- Card Counting: Keep track of which cards have been revealed to influence the likelihood of certain combinations.
Easy Poker is ideal for those new to poker games, with simplified rules that still provide plenty of fun and excitement.
