Objective of the Game
The objective of Super Six is to be the first player to move all of your pieces from the start around the board into your home area. The game requires strategy to protect your pieces while simultaneously sending opponents' pieces back.
Game Components
- A game board with a track and home areas for each player
- Pieces (usually 4 per player) in several colors
- One die
Setup
Each player chooses a color and places their four pieces in the corresponding start area. Then, determine the order of play by, for example, rolling the die.
Game Play
- Rolling and Moving:
- Players take turns rolling the die and moving one of their pieces clockwise by the number of spaces rolled.
-
At the start of the game, a player must roll a 6 to move a piece onto the board from the start area. A 6 allows an additional roll.
-
Capturing:
-
If a piece lands on a space occupied by an opponent’s piece, the opponent's piece is sent back to its starting area.
-
Entering the Home Area:
- After completing a full loop around the board, players must move their pieces into the home area with exact rolls. A piece is only safe when it’s in the home area.
Special Rules
- 6-Roll Rule: Rolling a 6 grants the player another turn.
- Blockades: Two pieces of the same color on one space block the path for all opposing pieces.
Strategic Tips
- Weigh Risks: Decide whether to advance a piece further or keep it safe.
- Blockades: Use blockades to prevent opponents from moving their pieces forward.
- Offense Play: Use opportunities to send opponents' pieces back to gain an advantage.
The mix of waiting and strategically using the dice rolls makes Super Six an exciting and dynamic game that can remain unpredictable until the end.
