Objective
In the card game Pasur, the main objective is to collect cards to score points. The game is typically played with a standard 52-card deck without jokers and is suitable for 2 to 4 players.
Setup
- Dealing Cards: A standard deck of 52 cards is used. Each player is dealt four cards to hold in their hand.
- Cards on the Table: In addition, four cards are placed face-up on the table.
Gameplay
- Round Start: The player to the left of the dealer begins, and play proceeds clockwise.
- Turn Options:
- Place a Card: A player may place a card from their hand onto the table.
- Capture Cards: If the sum of the cards on the table matches the number on the player's card, they can capture those cards. Also, if a player places a card that is the same value as a card on the table, they can capture both cards.
- Pasur: Successfully capturing all cards on the table is known as a Pasur, earning bonus points.
Scoring
- Collecting Points: At the end of each round, players count their captured cards:
- One point for every heart card.
- Two points for the 10 of diamonds (also known as “Belut”).
- One point for the most cards of the same suit.
- Five points to the player with the most cards.
End of Game
The game ends when a player reaches a specific total of points, typically 62 or 101 points, as agreed upon before starting the game.
Strategy
- Saving Special Cards: Since certain cards provide valuable points, it may be strategic to hold onto them until the optimal moment to collect.
- Card Counting: Having a good memory and tracking played cards can help deduce what cards your opponents might still hold.
Pasur is easy to learn but offers depth through strategic moves and planning.
