Objective of the Game
Rotation is a strategy game where the goal is to gather as many points as possible by strategically aligning the game pieces on the board. The game requires foresight and clever maneuvers to identify and utilize the best move options.
Game Components
- A game board with a 4x4 grid
- A set of 16 game pieces, white on one side and black on the other
Setup
Each player receives an equal number of pieces. The board is placed at the center of the table, and all pieces are initially set with the white side facing up on the squares.
Gameplay
- Starting the Game: A player is randomly selected to start the game.
- Executing Moves:
- During each turn, a player may flip any piece over (from white to black or from black to white).
- The player may also move a piece from one of the columns or rows by rotating them upwards, downwards, left, or right. Note that the moved piece always shifts to the other end of the column or row.
- Scoring Points: Points are accumulated by forming a chain of 3 or more like-colored pieces horizontally, vertically, or diagonally.
- End of Round: The round ends when all pieces are used, or no more moves can be made.
End of Game and Scoring
The game concludes when all game pieces are exhausted, or no further moves can adjust the position of the pieces. The player with the most points at the end wins.
Strategies and Tips
- Foresight: Plan several moves ahead and try to block your opponents.
- Avoiding Blocks: Try to avoid blocking by considering diagonal moves. These are often harder for your opponent to predict.
- Flexibility: Be ready to change your strategy based on your opponent's moves.
