Objective

The objective of the game "Inkheart" is to successfully overcome all challenges and adventures that emerge during the game and ultimately score the most points by strategically advancing your tokens and collecting resources.

Number of Players

• Minimum: 2 players
• Maximum: 4 players

Game Setup

1. Set up the board: Place the game board in the center of the table. Position the resource and card stacks in their designated areas.

2. Distribute pieces: Each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding tokens and markers.

3. Shuffle and deal cards: Shuffle the deck thoroughly and deal 5 cards to each player. The rest form the draw pile.

4. Starting positions: Players place their tokens on the starting spaces.

Rules

• Gameplay: The game is played over several rounds, with each round consisting of several phases:

• Draw cards: Each player draws two cards from the draw pile.

• Perform actions:
  • Movement: Players can move their tokens one space on the board.
  • Collect resources: Players landing on a resource space can collect the respective resources.
  • Play cards: Players can play cards from their hand to perform special actions.
• Overcome challenges: Entering certain spaces requires a player to draw a challenge card and resolve the task presented.

• End of the round: The round ends once each player has taken their actions.

• Winning Conditions: The game ends when all adventure cards are drawn or special target spaces are reached. The player with the most points wins.

Special Rules and Tips

• Resource Management: Managing resources wisely can often mean the difference between winning and losing. Plan your moves thoughtfully.

• Strategic Card Play: Players can influence the game by playing cards either for their advantage or against their opponents. Knowing when to use which card is key.
