Objective of the Game
Bräus is a strategic card game where players aim to build the most breweries and manage them with the best ingredients. The objective is to score the most points by efficiently managing resources and breweries to become the most successful brewmaster.
Setup
At the start, each player receives a set number of brew cards, resource cards, and ingredient tokens. These represent the breweries, ingredients, and other elements needed for brewing beer.
- Brew cards are shuffled face down, and each player is dealt five cards.
- The resource cards are also shuffled and placed face down in the center.
- Each player receives a set amount of ingredient tokens which are kept in a supply.
Game Play
The game progresses in rounds, divided into the following phases:
Brewing Phase
- Drawing Cards: Each player draws two new resource cards from the stack.
- Establishing Breweries: Players may play one or more of their drawn brew cards to establish breweries by paying the cost with resource cards.
- Developing Breweries: Players can advance their brew cards with ingredient tokens and appropriate resource cards to gain extra points or bonuses.
Selling Phase
- Selling Beer: Players can offer their finished beers for sale. The better the quality and the more ingredients used, the more points the player receives.
- Scoring Points: Points earned from sales are added to each player's score.
End of the Game
The game concludes when all brew cards are used up. The player with the most points from their beer sales and brewery developments wins.
Strategic Tips
- Resource Management: Plan ahead, and keep enough resource cards on hand to react flexibly to opponents' actions.
- Specialize Breweries: Develop certain breweries further to brew particularly valuable beers.
- Be Observant: Keep track of which ingredients and brew cards your opponents are using to strategize counteractions.
Additional Information
