Game Play

1. Influence Phase: - At the start of the game, players secretly assign influence markers to the different politicians they wish to control. - The influence remains secret, revealed only later in the game during promotion decisions.

2. Actions: - Players use their influences to promote their politicians to higher positions. - Intrigue and negotiations among players can occur during this stage.

3. Health Phase: - At the beginning of each round, the health of the politicians is assessed based on their age. Older politicians have a higher risk of succumbing to illnesses and leaving office.

4. Parade Phase: - Annually, it is checked whether the President can oversee the parade from the Brezhnev Tribune. A player-controlled politician must be in this position.

Special Rules and Nuances

  • Secrecy and Bluffing: The art of keeping secrets and spreading false information is central to succeeding in the game.
  • Age of Politicians: The older the politicians, the higher the risk of them being removed due to health reasons. Balance is crucial.
  • Timing: Knowing when to reveal which marker and how to deploy your forces to make optimal moves is key.

Kreml is a strategy game that rewards negotiation skills and strategic planning. The constant potential for intrigue makes it dynamic and unpredictable.
