Objective of the Game
The goal of Abluxxen is to have the most points at the end of the game. Points are scored by playing and collecting cards each round.
Game Components
- 110 cards in the colors Blue, Red, Yellow, Green, Purple, and Orange with values from 1 to 13. There are 2 cards of each value per color.
- 5 Joker cards
Setup
- Shuffle all cards and deal each player a hand of 13 cards.
- Place the remaining cards as a draw pile in the center of the table.
- Draw the top 6 cards and lay them face up as the display next to the draw pile.
Gameplay
Abluxxen is played clockwise. During your turn, you execute the following actions:

Play Cards: Lay one or more cards of the same value from your hand face up in front of you. These cards form your new card row. The number of cards in this row determines the strength of your attack.

Abluxx (Steal): If you play a card row with the same number of cards as another player’s card row, you can attempt to "abluxx" these cards. To do this, the value of your row must be equal to or higher than that of the attacked player’s.
- Take Back: The attacked player can choose to take back their attacked cards into their hand.
- Give Up: They can give you the attacked cards.
If they give up the cards, you take them, place them face down on your scoring pile, and the attacked player draws cards from the draw pile to replace their lost cards.

Draw Cards: After playing your card row and abluxxing if possible, you draw cards from the display to have 13 cards in your hand again. Draw from the face-up display first and then from the draw pile, if necessary.

Refill Display: Refill the display with cards from the draw pile so there are 6 cards available again.
End of the Game
The game ends when the draw pile is empty and one player has no more cards in hand.
Scoring
- Cards in hand count as -1 point each.
- Cards in the scoring pile count as +1 point each.
The player with the most points wins.
Strategic Tips
- Abluxx timely: Aim at attacking rows with high-value cards to gather valuable points.
- Utilize Jokers: Use Joker to build strong combinations and execute effective attacks.
- Manage Hand Cards Effectively: Keep an eye on your hand cards to avoid forcing the end of the game prematurely and to avoid negative points.
