Objective of the Game

"Hallo Pauker!" is a fun and interactive quiz game where players take on the roles of students trying to successfully complete a school year by going through various subjects and passing exams. The goal is to collect the most points by correctly answering quiz questions by the end of the game.

Game Components

  • A game board with different subjects and event spaces
  • Question cards for the various school subjects
  • Player tokens, representing the students
  • Point tokens or a scoring mechanism
  • Dice to determine movement on the board

Game Setup

  1. Each player selects a token and places it on the starting position of the board.
  2. Shuffle the question cards and place them sorted by subject next to the board.
  3. Prepare the point tokens to keep track of the players' scores.

How to Play

  1. Determine order: Players roll the dice to decide the playing order. The player with the highest roll starts.
  2. Round Structure: Each player takes turns in the following steps:
  3. Roll the dice: The player rolls the dice and moves their token forward according to the rolled number.
  4. Subject or Event: If the token lands on a subject space, the player draws a question card from that subject and answers it. Event spaces involve performing the indicated event.
  5. Gather points: Correct answers earn the player points. Points can also be earned through positive events.
  6. Special spaces: Some board spaces have special rules or can represent exam situations where the player must complete tasks or questions under time pressure.
  7. The game ends when all question cards of a subject are used up, or a pre-determined number of rounds is played.

Winning the Game

The player with the most points at the end of the game wins. In the case of a tie, special tiebreak questions or an additional round may be played to determine the winner.

Strategic Tips

  • Focus on your strengths: Aim for spaces with questions you feel confident about to consistently earn points.
  • Be wary of event spaces: They can be positive or negative, so consider the risks before landing on one.
  • Keep track: Remember which questions have been asked to better predict future answers.
