The Enchanted Tower
Objective of the Game:
In "The Enchanted Tower," two roles compete against each other: Robin and the Wizard. Robin's goal is to rescue the captive princess in a tower before the Wizard can prevent him.
Game Components:
- 1 Gameboard
- 1 Enchanted Tower with a key mechanism
- 2 Game pieces (Robin and Wizard)
- 1 Key
- 7 Tower keyholes
- 2 Dice
- 16 Tiles
Setup:
- Place the board in the center of the table.
- Randomly place Robin tiles face down on designated spaces.
- The Wizard rolls both dice and moves according to the dice results around the paths on the board.
- Robin starts on the start field, and the Wizard starts elsewhere on the path without looking at the tiles.
Gameplay:
- Rolling and moving: Both players play simultaneously, with the Wizard always rolling first:
- Each player has their own die.
- They roll and move according to the dice result.
-
Robin may not pass the Wizard.
-
Searching for the Key:
- When both players land on the same tile, the Wizard reveals the tile.
- If the tile is empty, nothing happens; Robin rolls again next time.
-
If Robin finds the key, he tries it in a keyhole.
-
Unlocking the Tower:
- Robin inserts the key into one of the tower's keyholes.
- The game mechanism immediately shows the result: if the tower opens, the princess is freed, and Robin wins.
-
If the attempt fails, the key is returned and the game continues.
-
Repeating:
- A failed attempt means players roll and move again, trying to encounter at other tiles to retrieve a key.
End of the Game:
- The game ends if Robin inserts the key into the correct keyhole and frees the princess, or if the Wizard successfully ends the round without Robin's success.
Strategies and Tips: - Robin should try to find the key quickly and avoid the Wizard's path. - The Wizard should block Robin and reveal useless fields to delay Robin as much as possible.
This game combines luck and mild strategy, is kid-friendly, and offers a high replay value due to the excitement of the key testing mechanism.
