Objective of the Game
Take it Easy is a strategic tile-laying game where each player tries to maximize their score by arranging numbered and colored paths on their board. The aim is to place tiles optimally to create continuous lines of the same color.
Components
- Each player has their own game board with a hexagonal grid.
- There is a shared set of 27 tiles, each with different colored lines and numbers.
Setup
- Each player gets a game board.
- One player is chosen as the "Caller" who draws tiles in random order and announces them.
- All tiles are shuffled and placed face down.
Game Play
- The Caller draws one of the 27 tiles, shows it to everyone, and calls out its number.
- All players find the matching tile in their own set and place it on any open space on their game board.
- The objective is to form continuous lines of the same color that stretch from one edge of the board to the other.
- The game ends when all 27 tiles are placed.
Scoring
- A continuous line from edge to edge is worth points equal to the sum of the numbers on the tiles that make up the line.
- Lines can be horizontal, diagonal from bottom left to top right, or diagonal from bottom right to top left.
- Any incomplete lines are worth nothing.
Scoring Example:
- Completing a line with five continuous tiles, each numbered 9, would give you 5x9=45 points.
- The strategic placement of tiles can create multiple valuable lines.
Strategy Considerations
- Plan Ahead: Be mindful of placing tiles to maintain flexibility and create multiple potential scoring lines.
- Adaptability: Be ready to adjust your strategy based on the tiles being drawn by the Caller.
End of the Game
Once all 27 tiles have been placed, each player tallies their points, and the player with the highest score wins.
