Objective
In the game Fossil, your goal as a researcher is to collect various fossils and score points by successfully excavating and assembling them. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.
Components

Setup
- Game Board: Place all fossil pieces face-down on their respective spaces on the game board.
- Deck of Cards: Shuffle the action cards and place the deck beside the game board.
- Starting Position: All players place their figures on the starting space of the board.
Gameplay
- Rounds: The game is played in rounds, with each player taking the following actions on their turn:
- Move: Move your figure a certain number of spaces (depending on dice roll or set steps).
- Search for Fossils: Discover and reveal fossil pieces on the board when landing on a space containing one.

End of the Game and Winning
The game ends when either all fossils have been collected or all action cards have been played. Tally the points according to the number and type of fossil sets you have gathered: - Complete Fossils provide the highest point value. - Partial Fossils yield fewer points. - Bonus points may be awarded via special cards or actions.
The player with the most points wins.
