Objective of the Game

In "11 nimmt!", the goal is to cleverly play cards to collect as few points as possible, as the player with the fewest points at the end wins. Each card has a point value that is summed when a player must pick up cards.

Components

• A deck of cards numbered from 1 to 100.
• Each card displays a number and features a point value between 1 and 5 points, represented by bulls on the card.

Setup

• At the start, the dealer shuffles the cards and deals 10 cards to each player.
• Four cards are placed face up in the middle to form four starting rows.

Gameplay

1. Each player simultaneously selects and places a card face down from their hand.
2. After all players have chosen a card, they are revealed at the same time.
3. The revealed cards are placed in rows in ascending order by the smallest number difference:
4. Each new card must be placed in the row where the difference from the current highest card in the row is the smallest.
5. If a card cannot be placed properly in any row (i.e., it is smaller than all the highest cards of the rows), the player must take one of the rows, starting a new row with their card.
6. When a row reaches six cards, the player who adds the sixth card takes the first five cards in the row as penalty points.
7. Play continues, with each round, until all ten hand cards are played.
8. At the end of the round, each player receives penalty points based on the collected cards, indicated by the bulls.

End of the Game

The game ends after a predetermined number of rounds (commonly played to 66 points), and the player with the lowest score wins.

Strategic Tips

• Timing: Attempt to play your lower-value cards at opportune moments to avoid penalty points.
• Pattern Recognition: Pay attention to how rows develop and which number range tends to become "dangerous."
• Opponent Analysis: Try to gauge what cards opponents might have left, adjusting your play style accordingly.
