Game Components

  • A game board with various color-coded property sets and special spaces like railway stations, utilities, etc.
  • A number of playing pieces
  • Two dice
  • Play money in various denominations
  • Title deed cards for each property
  • Houses and Hotels
  • A banker to handle the game bank

Game Setup

  1. Each player chooses a playing piece and places it on the "Start" space.
  2. Each player receives starting capital, typically 30,000 currency units.
  3. Title deed cards are handed over to the bank.
  4. A banker is appointed to manage the bank during the game.

Gameplay

  1. Order: Players throw dice to determine the playing order. The highest roll begins.
  2. Turn: The player rolls two dice and moves their piece clockwise around the board according to the number rolled.
  3. Space Action:
  4. Unowned Property: The player can buy the property for the listed price or auction it if other players refuse to bid.
  5. Owned Property: If owned by another player, the player must pay the specified rent.
  6. Special Spaces: Depending on the space, players may experience bonus or penalty events (e.g., go to jail, get out of jail free, etc.).
  7. Building: Once a player owns all properties of one color set, they can purchase houses or hotels to increase rent. These are placed directly on the corresponding spaces.
  8. Jail: Players sent to jail stay there for three turns unless they roll doubles or pay a fine.
  9. Bankruptcy: A player goes bankrupt if unable to pay their debts. They exit the game, and their properties are auctioned.

End of the Game

The game concludes when all but one player are bankrupt, and the last remaining player wins.
