group 2 - 6 Deutsch

Objective of the Game: In Bigboss, the goal is to become the richest player by strategically investing in companies, either by founding them or buying shares in existing ones. Profits are made through the growth of companies and selling shares at strategic moments.

Game Components: - A game board with different spaces for placing companies. - Company markers for indicating companies on the board. - Share cards representing a player’s stakes in a company. - Money in bills or chips. - A directory showing the current value of companies.

Number of Players: 2 to 6 players.

Game Setup: - Each player receives a starting amount of money. - The order of play is determined randomly. - Each player receives initial shares of some randomly chosen companies.

Gameplay: 1. Player’s Turn: - Founding Companies: Players can start new companies on the board or expand existing ones by placing markers of the appropriate color on free spaces. A new company is founded when a marker is placed on an empty space with no adjacent markers. - Trading Shares: After a company is founded or expanded, a round of share buying occurs. The price of a share is determined by the size of the company and the number of free markers. - Expanding Companies: Over rounds, companies can expand into new regions to increase their market value by placing additional markers. - Mergers: When two companies collide, they merge into a larger enterprise. The value of the newly formed company is recalculated.

  1. End of the Game: The game ends when there are no more opportunities to found new companies or expand existing ones on the game board, or a predefined goal such as certain capital is reached. The player with the most capital wins.

Strategic Considerations: - Maximizing the value of your shares and knowing the right time to sell are crucial. - Mergers can offer significant profits by buying early shares in a small company which will merge with a big one. - Investing in the right companies at the right time is key to victory.

Special Features: - Risk and Reward Element: Risk involves investing in companies that might not have growth potential. The reward comes from successfully promoting mergers. - Interaction: High interaction between players as trading shares and merger decisions are heavily influenced by other players' actions.
