Objective of the Game

Challengers! is a strategic card game where players attempt to capture the most flags by effectively playing their cards. The goal is to accumulate the most victory points by winning flags and playing powerful card combinations.

Components

• Cards: Different types of cards with unique abilities.
• Flag Markers: Keys to victory that must be captured during the game.
• Scoreboards for tracking the number of flags won.

Setup

1. Each player draws a specified number of cards from the shuffled main deck. The exact number depends on the number of players and is outlined in the rules.
2. Place the flag markers in the center of the table.

Gameplay

Challengers! is played in rounds. Each round consists of two phases:

1. Setup Phase

• Players choose cards from their hand to use for the round. Strategic choice is important to form a powerful combination to win flags in the next battle phase.

2. Battle Phase

• Turn Order: Players take turns playing cards from their hands to capture flags.
• Playing Cards: Each card holds specific strength and ability, influencing the game mechanics. Some cards offer additional attack bonuses, while others provide defense or special abilities.
• Flag Contest: The player with the strongest combination captures the flag and receives the flag marker.

End of Round

• At the end of each round, players count the flags they've captured. Some cards or abilities might influence the scoring.
• Collected flags are tallied and marked on the scoreboard.

End of Game and Scoring

The game ends after a predetermined number of rounds. The player with the most flags and best utilization of card-specific abilities wins.

Strategic Tips

• Card Knowledge: Get familiar with the abilities and strengths of your cards! Some card combinations can be game-winning.
• Timing: The right timing on when to play certain cards is crucial. Some cards are more effective in specific game situations.
• Flag Priority: Don't blindly try to capture all flags. Decide strategically which battles to win and plan your moves accordingly.
