Objective of the Game
Balut is a dice game where players aim to achieve the highest possible score by rolling five dice and recording various scoring combinations on a scorecard.

Game Setup
- Each player receives a scorecard and a pen.
- Determine the play order, for example, by rolling dice - the highest roll goes first.
- Agree on a set number of rounds to play.
Gameplay
- Rolling Phase: Each player has three rolls per turn.
- First Roll: The player rolls all five dice.

Second and Third Rolls: The player may set aside any number of dice and re-roll the remaining dice.

Combination Selection: After completing the three rolls, the player decides which combination to score. Each combination can be used only once per game. Possible combinations include:
- Ones to Sixes: Sum of dice showing the same face.
- Three of a Kind: At least three dice showing the same face. Points: Sum of all five dice.
- Four of a Kind: At least four dice showing the same face. Points: Sum of all five dice.
- Full House: A combination of a three and a pair. Typically scores 25 points.
- Small Straight: Four consecutive numbers (e.g., 1-2-3-4). Typically scores 30 points.
- Large Straight: Five consecutive numbers (e.g., 2-3-4-5-6). Typically scores 40 points.
- Balut: Five of a kind, similar to Yahtzee. Typically scores 50 points.

Chance: Any five dice. Points are the sum of these five dice.

Scoring: The player records the points for the chosen combination on their scorecard.
- The next player takes their turn.
End of the Game
The game ends after the agreed number of rounds. Each player adds up the points of their scored combinations. The player with the highest total score wins the game.
Strategic Tips
- Prioritization: During the game, plan for hard-to-achieve combinations (e.g., Large Straight or Balut) early on to secure them.
- Flexibility: Keep your options open for multiple combinations, especially when the dice don't roll as planned.
- Taking Risks: Take risks in the early rounds to achieve high scores.
