Objective of the Game
The goal of Lemminge – Who will jump first? is to be the first to successfully move your lemmings across the board to the cliff. The aim is to jump from the cliff with the highest possible score.
Game Components
- A game board featuring a path leading to a cliff
- Lemming figures in various colors for each player
- Action cards that provide different moves or actions on the game board
- Point cards that determine the score for jumping off the cliff
Setup
- Each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding lemming figures.
- The game board is placed in the center of the table.
- The point cards are shuffled and randomly placed on the cliff spaces.
- Each player draws five action cards as their starting hand.
Gameplay
-
Round Start: The player who has most recently climbed down from a cliff begins the game. If that can't be determined, the youngest player starts.
-
Player’s Turn:
- Draw an action card from the deck.
- Play one or more cards to move your lemmings on the board.
- Movement: Each card has specific instructions, e.g., "Move two spaces forward" or "Move one lemming two spaces back." Cards can be played in any order.
-
The objective is to strategically position the lemmings to make the best possible jump.
-
Cliff Jump:
- When a lemming reaches the cliff, the player can decide to jump.
- The jump is scored based on the point card on that cliff space.
- The player takes that point card.
-
Each cliff space can be used by only one lemming throughout the game.
-
End of Round: Once all players have completed their turns, the next game round begins.
End of the Game
The game ends when no player has lemmings left to jump or when no point cards are left on the cliff. The player with the most points from collected point cards wins.
Strategies
- Position Play: Block opponents’ lemmings by strategically placing yours to make it harder for them to reach the cliff quickly.
- Card Management: Pay attention to when you use certain action cards. Some might be crucial for key moves later in the game.
- Risk Assessment: Decide wisely which lemming to jump first, based on available point cards.
Enjoy and throw your lemmings into an exciting competition!
