Das kleine Gespenst - Game Instructions

Objective

The objective of "Das kleine Gespenst" is to scare as many castle inhabitants as possible before midnight and score the highest number of points. Each player takes on the role of the little ghost and tries to complete their tasks on a 3D board within the castle.

Setup

• The game board is set up in the center of the table.
• Each player selects a playing piece (one little ghost) and places it at the starting point.
• Task and scare cards are shuffled and placed face down.
• The clock hands on the castle tower are set to 12.

Gameplay

1. Start of the Game: The youngest player starts, and play follows clockwise.

2. Player's Turn:

3. The player draws a task card. These cards indicate which castle inhabitants need to be scared.

4. Each player has three moves during their turn, which can be divided in various ways:

   • Moving through the castle (one space per move)
   • Using a secret door (if one is available)
   • Solving mysteries (perhaps through special cards or visited locations)

5. Scaring Inhabitants: When the little ghost lands on an inhabitant's space, they are scared, and the player scores points according to the inhabitant's scare difficulty.

6. Special Events: Some spaces in the castle have special events, like secret passages or point multipliers. These are activated once reached.

7. Adjusting Time: At the end of their turn, the player moves the clock hands to advance the time. The game ends once the hands reach 12 again.

Winning

The player with the most points when the clock strikes 12 a second time wins the game. In case of a tie, the player who completed all their tasks first wins.

Strategy Tips

• Route Planning: Think ahead to complete as many tasks as possible with the fewest moves.
• Use of Secret Spaces: Try to use the secret passages effectively to quickly reach distant parts of the castle.
• Time Management: Carefully consider when to advance the clock. Sometimes it's better to delay time to gather more points.
