Abenteuer Tierwelt

Objective

The objective of Abenteuer Tierwelt is to embark on a safari through various habitats around the world and collect as many species of animals as possible. The player who collects the most species by the end of the game is the winner.

Game Components

• 1 game board with different habitats like Savanna, Rainforest, Ocean, and Arctic
• 6 playing figures in different colors
• 1 die
• 100 animal cards (20 for each habitat)
• 20 event cards
• 6 player boards to manage collected animals

Game Setup

1. Place the game board in the center of the table.
2. Each player selects a playing figure and places it on the start space at the edge of the board.
3. The animal cards are sorted by habitat and placed face down on the corresponding spots on the board.
4. Shuffle the event cards and place them face down next to the board.
5. Each player receives a player board.

Game Play

The game is played in clockwise order. Players take turns one after the other.

Player Turn

1. Roll the Die: The active player rolls the die.
2. Move: Move the playing figure according to the number rolled.
3. Take Action:
4. If landing on a habitat space, the player may draw a card from the respective deck.
   • Animal Card: The player keeps the card and places it on their board if it's a species they haven't collected yet.
5. Event Cards: If landing on an event space, draw an event card and perform the action described. These can have positive or negative effects such as collecting extra animal cards or losing already collected ones.

Special Rules

• Duplicate Animals: If a player draws an animal card they already own, they can give it to a player of their choice.
• Hand Limit: A player may never have more than 10 animal cards on their board at any time.

Game End

The game ends when all animal cards are depleted. Players count the different species on their boards. The player with the most different species wins.

Strategic Tips

• Collect Diversity: Focus on collecting as many different species instead of duplicates, as these are not useful.
• Smart Use of Event Cards: Some event cards allow you to move directly to a specific habitat. Use these to seek out missing species deliberately.
