Objective
The goal of Dschungelbande is to guide your team of animal figures safely through the jungle and be the first to cross the finish line. Each player controls a certain number of animal figures and must skillfully move them across the board.
Components
- 1 Game board (jungle)
- Animal figures in multiple colors
- 1 Die
- Event cards
Setup
- Assemble the board: Place the board in the center of the table.
- Distribute figures: Each player chooses a color and takes the corresponding animal figures.
- Determine start position: Place the animal figures on the start field on the board.
- Shuffle event cards: Shuffle the event cards and place them face down beside the board.
Basic Rules
- Start the game: The youngest player starts. The turn order continues clockwise.
- Movement: Roll the die and move one of your figures forward according to the number rolled.
- Event Fields: If a figure lands on an event field, draw an event card and follow the instructions on it.
- Special Fields: Special fields on the board can provide both advantages (e.g., an extra turn) and disadvantages (e.g., return to start field).
Ending the Game
The game ends when a player has brought all of their animal figures across the finish line. That player is the winner.
Strategic Tips
- Risk Management: Carefully consider when it’s worth landing a figure on an event field.
- Blocking: Use your figures to obstruct the movement of opposing animal figures.
- Group Movement: Try to keep your figures close together to bring them to the finish line as a group.
