Objective of the Game
Kribbeln is an entertaining dice game where you try to roll certain combinations to score points. The goal of the game is to achieve the highest score.
Materials Needed
You need: - Five dice - A dice cup - A score sheet for each player - A pen
Setup
- Each player receives a score sheet and a pen.
- Determine the starting player by rolling the dice or another method.
Gameplay
The game consists of several rounds. Each player has up to three rolls in their turn to achieve the best possible combinations. 1. First Roll: The player rolls all five dice. 2. Second and Third Roll: The player can keep any number of dice and re-roll the rest up to two more times. 3. Scoring: At the end of their turn, the player decides which combination to mark on their score sheet.
Combinations and Points
- Ones to Sixes: (1-6) Try to roll as many of the same number. Record the total of these numbers.
- Three of a Kind: At least three dice of the same number. Record the total of all dice.
- Four of a Kind: At least four dice of the same number. Record the total of all dice.
- Full House: Three of one number and two of another. Score 25 points.
- Small Straight: Four consecutive numbers. Score 30 points.
- Large Straight: Five consecutive numbers. Score 40 points.
- Kniffel (or Kribbel): Five dice of the same number. Score 50 points.
- Chance: Any combination. Record the total of all dice.
Special Feature: - Kribbel Bonus: If you achieve at least 63 points in the ones to sixes categories, you earn a bonus of 35 points.
End of the Game
The game ends when each player has filled all categories on their score sheet. The points are then tallied, and the player with the highest score wins.
Strategic Hints
- Try to score high in the ones to sixes categories to obtain the Kribbel Bonus.
- Use the "Chance" to make the best of weak rolls.
- Keep an eye on which categories you haven’t filled yet to avoid losing valuable points towards the end of the game.
