Objective of the Game
In Troyes, players take on the roles of influential families in medieval France. Your objective is to gain fame and prestige by developing the city of Troyes, defending against threats, and cleverly utilizing courtly, military, and religious influence opportunities. The player with the most prestige at the end of the game wins.
Setup
- Game Board: The board shows the city of Troyes with its three areas of influence (Military, Religion, and Civilian).
- Dice: Each player receives three dice of their color plus any bonus dice.
- Cards: There are three types of cards - Action Cards, Event Cards, and Personality Cards.
- Markers and Meeples: Represent your units and control over specific areas.
- Money and Resources: Used to perform actions and gain control.
Gameplay
During the game, each player follows these phases:
