Spinnengift und Krötenschleim
Objective of the Game:
In "Spinnengift und Krötenschleim," players take on the roles of young witches and wizards trying to brew as many potions as possible. The game ends when all ingredients are used up, and the player with the most points from brewed potions wins.
Setup: 1. Place the game board in the center of the table and distribute the ingredient tiles face down on the respective fields. 2. Each player chooses a character token and places it on the starting space. 3. Shuffle the potion cards and deal three cards to each player. The remaining cards form a draw pile. 4. Each player receives a cauldron tile. 5. The last person to have brewed a potion begins.
Gameplay: The game is played in a clockwise direction. Each player has the following actions available per turn:
- Move: Roll the die and move your character accordingly in any direction on the board. Players cannot pass through spaces with other figures.
- Collect Ingredients: If you land on a space with a facedown ingredient, you can uncover and add it to your stash.
- Trade Ingredients: Players can trade ingredients with each other if both agree.
- Brew Potions: When you have the correct ingredients, you may brew one of your potions. Discard the necessary ingredients and claim the potion card's points.
Special Features: - Some spaces on the board have special actions like the broomstick, which allows an extra movement action. - Special spaces trigger a direct action upon landing, such as taking an extra ingredient or losing a collected one.
End of the Game: The game ends when no ingredients remain on the board or all potions have been brewed. The player with the most accumulated magic points from brewed potions wins.
Strategy Tips: - Prioritize rare ingredients as they often yield more points when brewing. - Plan your movement carefully to avoid getting stuck. - Keep an eye on majorities, as certain potions might require more of a type.
