Objective of the Game

The objective of Raj (also known as "Hol’s der Geier") is to have the most points at the end of the game. This exciting card game revolves around bluffing, tactics, and proper timing.

Game Components

The game consists of two sets of cards: - Numbered Cards: Usually these are numbers from 1 to 15 for each player. - Point Cards: These consist of number cards with positive and negative values (-5 to +10 points).

Setup

• Each player receives a set of numbered cards from 1 to 15.
• The point cards are shuffled and placed face-down in the center of the table.

Gameplay

1. Round Start: A point card is revealed and placed in the center. It can be positive or negative.
2. Card Selection: Each player selects one of their numbered cards from their hand and places it facedown.
3. Reveal: All players simultaneously reveal their chosen cards.

6. For Negative Point Card: The player with the lowest numbered card must take the point card.
7. Tie on Positive Value: In case of a tie, no one wins the point card, and it remains in play along with the next point card.
8. Tie on Negative Value: In case of a tie, no one takes the negative card, and it remains in play for the next round.
9. Repeat: These steps are repeated until all point cards have been played.

Strategy Tips

• Bluffing: Sometimes it's advantageous to bluff your opponents by playing lower cards even when positive point cards are in play, saving higher cards for future rounds.
• Risk Management: Weigh the options of playing a card to avoid negative points versus saving cards for potential positive gains.
• Memory: Keep track of which cards your opponents have played to estimate their remaining cards.

End of the Game

The game ends when all point cards have been collected. Each player adds up the points from their collected point cards. The player with the most points wins the game.
